rainy monday blues
it's a rainy day. the surrounding air is cold.
there's probably a thousand and one stuff running through my head. but just can't seem to write it out here. =)
i was thinking that somehow when i encounter a problem for my project coordination now, i'm not as panicky as when i just started on this job. my brain is so used to the situations that could/might have happened, that now i can just calmly provide the client an alternative solution. well although clients will more or less be unhappy but it's definitely better than doing nothing.
something just popped in my head. it was one of bon mama's event clients. SL. cuz mama was on urgent leave, so i had to take over and arrange with the client to come over to the agency to make payment. so when the client reached and was ready to make payment via credit card, i got help from the receptionist to settle the payment. but then the credit card machine simply refused to let the transaction process and kept popping out the 'card rejected' message. so what is my next move? call the BOSS. i guess when i told him what happened, the first thing on his mind was 'oh shit, what if the client doesn't pay, must by hook or by crook pay today!'
so what is his brilliant idea..he told me to bring the client down to harvey norman to buy a laptop. and if the amount exceeds the invoice amount, assure the client that we will issue them cheque or cash back.
yup, that was his brilliant idea. the moment he said that..my brain went like wth! you want me to say that to the client?? how professional and hard up i look man..
then just as i was about to bang my head and proceed with his idea, cherry saved me! she changed the wire, and it works!
gosh at that point of time, i think i practically saw cherry as a lifesaver! imagine if i went ahead and tell the SL client that..i think i will want to turn into an ostrich and stick my head into the ground and pray that i'll never see that client ever again..faintz..
but anyways in the end the client still waited for quite some time before the credit card machine works..still feel kinda bad for making them wait.
